Samsonite, a leader in sustainable luggage and bags, has recently concluded its Green Month campaign, during which 5% of the sales price from each sustainable product was donated to The Perfect World Foundation’s Project Ocean.
Each year, an estimated 640,000,000 kg of abandoned fishing gear, often referred to as “ghost nets,” end up in the world’s oceans. This results in the deaths of millions of marine animals and fish. Project Ocean, an initiative by The Perfect World Foundation, works to raise awareness about these issues, protect marine life, and implement global solutions to prevent plastic pollution and ghost nets in the seas.
Last year, Samsonite raised 70,000 SEK for the project by donating 10% of the revenue from its ECO-collection to Project Ocean. This year, Samsonite replaced Black Friday with a Green Month, where 5% of the sales price from each sustainable product went to The Perfect World Foundation’s Project Ocean.
With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and quality, Samsonite strives to be a world leader in sustainable lifestyle bags and suitcases. For more information about Samsonite’s commitment to sustainability, visit their website:
