PROJECT WILDLIFE – Preserving All Life on Earth
Biodiversity signifies the incredible variety of life forms, species, and ecosystems that exist on our planet. This includes everything from microscopic organisms in the soil to majestic predators in the forests, from coral reefs in our oceans to trees and plants in the rainforests. Each species and function within an ecosystem plays a specific role. When a species is lost or a function altered, it affects the entire ecosystem. A healthy biodiversity ensures stable and functioning ecosystems that provide oxygen, clean air, pure water, and regulate the climate.

BIODIVERSITY IS DECLINING FASTER THAN EVER IN HUMAN HISTORY. RIGHT NOW, OVER 1 MILLION SPECIES ARE THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION.
BIODIVERSITY IS DECLINING FASTER THAN EVER IN HUMAN HISTORY. RIGHT NOW, OVER 1 MILLION SPECIES ARE THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION.
PROJECT WILDLIFE aims to preserve all life on Earth. Biodiversity is decreasing faster than at any previous time in human history, and today, over 1 million species are threatened with extinction. The Perfect World Foundation works to save biodiversity by supporting grassroots projects in the field, where we assist individual animals and species. We also drive our own projects and collaborate with other organizations. In addition, we are involved in replanting the planet’s various forests and in cleaning the oceans of waste – all to create conditions conducive to life.
DIRECT SUPPORT ON THE GROUND
The threats to many species are immediate. Poaching, wildlife trade, and climate change are just a few examples of the dangers they face. We support field projects by providing orphaned elephant calves with milk, building fences to prevent poaching, and funding park rangers who protect the species. Education is also a key component to increase awareness about the preservation of biodiversity.

REHABILITATION OF INJURED ANIMALS
The Perfect World Foundation is actively engaged in saving injured animals. Whether it’s marine life affected by plastic and ghost nets in our oceans, forest fires resulting in injured and burned animals needing rehabilitation, or sloths in the rainforest harmed by dangerous power lines, there is a wide spectrum of animals that need our care and rehabilitation.
The Perfect World Foundation strives to be a saving hand for these animals in distress. Through PROJECT WILDLIFE, we work to provide these animals with the rehabilitation and veterinary care they need to hopefully one day return to their natural habitats in the wild.
GLOBAL COLLABORATION
Our planet’s wildlife needs help, and The Perfect World Foundation works worldwide to rescue wild animals in crisis. The work extends, for example, from aiding koalas in Australia, the wild animals of Africa’s savannas to significant species in Costa Rica’s rainforest, and many more wild animals in various countries. To effectively help as many animals as possible, The Perfect World Foundation has developed a close collaboration with several partner organizations around the world where we can efficiently provide support during crises.
ENSURING HABITATS
The Perfect World Foundation is actively working to secure habitats for wildlife, both on land and in the oceans. In Attenborough Forest, we focus on replanting the planet’s vital forests, while Project Ocean is dedicated to saving our seas.
PLANT TREES FOR WILD ANIMALS
Besides tree planting reducing CO2 levels in the atmosphere – which benefits all life on Earth – trees create habitats, fresh water, and food for wild animals. Trees also benefit biodiversity and the ecosystems that wild animals live in, giving them (and the entire ecosystem) better chances to thrive. With our campaign “Plant a tree for me,” you can plant trees in Attenborough Forest and receive a diploma with your favorite animal… or perhaps give it to someone who, just like you and us – loves animals! Click on an animal and plant trees in Attenborough Forest.
