Brazil Premiere of “Eating Our Way to Extinction”

The Documentary “Eating Our Way To Extinction”, narrated and executive produced by Academy Award® winning Actress Kate Winslet, will challenge the way you look at the food industry. This entertaining and surprising documentary has received a lot of attention worldwide, even from major stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio.

“This is the film future generations will be wishing everyone watched today”, Leonardo DiCaprio wrote about the documentary on Instagram to his 54 million followers.

The Documentary had it´s Brazil Premiere on the 28^th of July in Rio de Janeiro – were The Perfect World Foundation was the exclusive sponsor for the event. The premiere had an incredible guest list with influential policymakers in Brazil attending. In addition to the film premiere, a round table summit was arranged, bringing together a network of decision-makers and experts to help accelerate change and share approaches on how to achieve the maximum positive impact on the war against deforestation in the amazon and of the indigenous people.

Eating Our Way To Extinction takes audiences on a cinematic journey around the world, from the depths of the Amazon rainforests to the Taiwanese Mountains, the Mongolian desert, the US Dust Bowl, the Norwegian Fjords and the Scottish coastlines, telling the story of our planet through shocking testimonials, poignant accounts from indigenous people most affected by our ever-changing planet, globally renowned figures and leading scientists such as The Perfect World Foundations ambassador Dr Sylvia Earle, explorer and former Chief Scientist of NOAA and the Award Recipient of The Perfect World Foundation Award 2017.

The documentary is co-directed by Otto Brockway, The Perfect World Foundations ambassador Ludovic Brockway (nephew to Sir Richard Branson). and produced by Kian Tavakkoli, Mark Galvin and Ludovic Brockway of Broxstar Productions. Executive Producers on the film include Kate Winslet, Sir Richard Branson, Magnus Hollo, Ivan Orlic of Seine Pictures, Lauren Mekhael, James Wilks, Joseph Pace and Susan Vitka. Featuring a wealth of world-renowned contributors, including Sir Richard Branson and Tony Robbins, it has a message of hope that will empower audiences.
